VANCOUVER, Wash. — Court documents allege that a Vancouver, Wash.-area woman accused of killing her husband with a hammer kept his body for more than two weeks before reporting the death.
Clark County sheriff’s officers said they found the body of 55-year-old Mark Williams covered with sheets in a blood-spattered bedroom. They responded Wednesday after they say 51-year-old Donna Rae Williams called them.
According to an affidavit, the woman said she killed her husband of 30 years as he slept after he hit her. The medical examiner said the man died of blunt force trauma to the head.
The Oregonian reported that Sgt. Fred Neiman said Donna Williams was arraigned Thursday in Superior Court on one count of murder.
The couple previously lived in Portland.
