SPOKANE -- Some re-election campaign signs for state Rep. Matt Shea, R-Spokane, have been vandalized with anti-Semitic and other slurs.

Shea is a Christian who is a strong supporter of Israel and enjoys support from the Messianic Jewish community in Spokane.

He said the campaign signs were vandalized late Tuesday or early Wednesday, spray painted with violent, sexually explicit, anti-Semitic, and anti-Christian words and symbols.

Shea said the Spokane County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident and that he has notified members of the Messianic Jewish community.
