SPOKANE -- Two masked men stormed into a Spokane house early Thursday and assaulted the homeowner in the third home invasion robbery in the city this week.

Police told KXLY that one of the robbers had a handgun. They demanded money and left.

The homeowner suffered cuts and bruises. Residents told police they didn't know the intruders.

Police are investigating whether these are the same men responsible for two other home invasion robberies late Tuesday and early Wednesday. One resident was shot in the leg.
