The Snohomish County Auditor’s Office has sent out 6,500 voter cards ahead of the Aug. 7 primary election to voters whose precinct boundaries changed.
The changes followed last year’s redistricting process to make political boundaries better reflect population changes documented in the 2010 U.S. Census.
Nearly 232,000 voters in Snohomish County had a change to their congressional or legislative district this year. Additionally, County Council and public utility districts have changed. School district director lines will be adjusted in the coming months for 2013 local elections.
Voters can see their current districts by using the MyVote section of the Washington State Secretary of State website at www.vote.wa.gov.
