Fishing derby for kids at Cama Beach

It's derby day at Cama Beach state park.
The Center For Wooden Boats will host a Youth Fishing Derby where kids can fish, win prizes and earn big bragging rights.
No Discovery Pass or fishing license is required. Participation is free but you have to bring your own poles and hooks and other equipment.
Kids can also learn from the pros who will be on hand to teach the youngsters.
Tina Dinzl-Pederon will demonstrate casting near the derby area on the lawn.
The CWB Youth Fishing Derby starts with registration at 9 a.m. Saturday at Cama Beach State Park, 1880 S. West Camano Drive, Camano Island. For more information go to www.camabeachfoundation.org.
