Here are the details about the fire from Snohomish County Fire District 7 spokeswoman Autumn Waite:

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office investigated and determined the fire was caused by an electrical failure of energized heat tape. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
Note: SnoCo Five-Oh is a new feature we're trying on Sirens. We follow up on lot of calls about police and fire activity in the community. Most of the time, it's not much for a full-length news story. We'll share some of what we learn here.
