EVERETT -- Police arrested a man wanted on a felony warrant Wednesday after a brief chase through Everett.

The man first was spotted in a car about 10:50 a.m. on W. Casino Road, according to police officials.

Police followed the car onto northbound I-5. The car stopped at the off-ramp to Pacific Avenue, and the man jumped out and began running away, Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

A sheriff's deputy and police dog gave chase, and the man was arrested.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a dog bite.

He was expected to be booked into Snohomish County Jail.
