The Bothell LiveArts Festival, indeed, has lots of art, artisan booths and a juried art exhibit.
But this free community festival includes a variety of musicians, food and a special Kid’s Corner that will keep all family members entertained.
The Bothell LiveArts Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the campus shared by Cascadia Community College and the University of Washington’s Bothell campus.
The Kid’s Corner is on the Campus Promenade where kids have a large patch of sidewalk real estate to express themselves with chalk art.
For live entertainment, the festival has an assortment of performers, from marimba to solo artists, including the Canyon Creek Marimba Band, Convergence Zone Bluegrass quintet and harmonica-playing singer and songwriter Ali Marcus.
The goal of LiveArts is to uplift the appreciation of art while contributing to scholarships for local youth and buying public art for the community.
The campus is at 18345 Campus Way NE, Bothell, one mile east of downtown Bothell. There is free parking garage next to the festival.
