EVERETT -- Bring your blankets to the waterfront for some free entertainment beginning tonight with "Locust Street Taxi," a band that blends ska, pop and swing.

The city of Everett's Music at the Marina kicks off a summer of music at 1700 W. Marine View Drive, near where the Everett Farmers Market is located.

Catch live performances at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays and 2-4 p.m. Sundays until Aug. 30.

Saturday "Hey Marseilles" is scheduled to perform orchestral folk. Sunday the folk-driven vocal band "St. Paul de Vence" plays.

The Sunday series typically features more folk, harmonic and solo performances that add a harmonious backdrop to the farmers market on Sundays.

Organizers suggest bringing a blanket to sit on, snacks and jackets for when the sun goes down.

Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed. Children are welcome.

Find a schedule of upcoming performances at www.enjoyeverett.org.
