Home employee embezzled Bremerton disabled
The U.S. attorney's office in Seattle says 46-year-old Kristi Osborne stole the money over a seven-year period at the Frances Hadden Morgan Center by forging documents and submitting false requests for funds.
The loss was discovered in 2010 audit by the Department of Social and Health Services.
The Kitsap Sun reported that Osborne pleaded guilty in January.
The DSHS is repaying money stolen from resident accounts.
The 55-patient center was closed in December because of state budget cuts. Residents were moved to group homes or institutions.
