“POW” (Politics of War): An exhibit of works by local artists that will relate thematically to the Vietnam era and illustrate what kind of impact Richard Nixon had on politics and society at every level; the show coincides with Whidbey Island Center for the Arts production of “Frost/Nixon” and will remain in the WICA lobby at 565 Camano Ave., Langley, until the end of June. “Fireworks + Artworks”: Whidbey Art Trail’s Fourth of July celebration includes 27 artist studios welcoming visitors throughout the holiday week for this first annual event so see potters throwing a new vessel, a painter placing the final strokes on a piece or a glassmaker twirling wands in a hot fire.
