Vintage aircraft

Think of veterans as planes fly over

This is in answer to the recent letter concerning the vintage aircraft flying from Paine Field. These beautiful aircraft have been carefully restored by many volunteers, some of whom flew these in combat. Further, a lot of these flights carry with them some of our oldest veterans, getting one last memorable ride.

As we near July Fourth and the holiday, the writer of the letter "Vintage aircraft great, but loud" and many Americans forget about our history. I am certain the individual will sit on his patio and enjoy his barbecue and beverage. The writer must remember that these planes were the ones that carried our military to and from battle. He should be proud to be one of the folks who get to view them in the sky. The folks who flew them and in them are the reason you get to sit on your patio and commune with nature.
