EVERETT -- Detectives are on the hunt for a man and woman who reportedly attacked a stranger with a crowbar at an Everett gas station.

The assault was reported just after 7 p.m. June 24 at the Chevron station at 41st Street and Rucker Avenue.

Everett police believe the victim was panhandling, and approached a tan Chevrolet Tahoe as it pulled up to the gas pumps, said officer Aaron Snell, department spokesman.

Two men and a woman got out of the vehicle. One of the men hit the victim in the head with a crowbar, Snell said. That's when the victim said something to the suspects. The woman then punched the victim in the face, Snell said.

The suspects left in the Tahoe.

Police believe the Tahoe is an early 2000s model with custom wheels.

Detectives have reviewed video surveillance captured nearby.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 425-257-8450.
