TACOMA -- A Tacoma middle school teacher is accused of having sex with a 12-year-old student at school and his home.
Keshia T. Shaw was charged last month with second-degree rape. She'll have a chance to enter a plea at her court appearance July 10 in Pierce County Superior Court.
The News Tribune reports the 32-year-old is accused of having sex with the boy five years ago when she was a sixth-grade teacher at Gray Middle School. She has been placed on paid leave.
The boy, now 17, told his mother he had been abused, after he heard a church sermon about reporting molestation.
