Watch family-friendly movies outdoors at park

MILL CREEK -- Set up a chair or blanket and take in the show.

Free family-friendly outdoor movies are returning to Willis Tucker Park for the summer, starting next week.

Rated G, PG and PG-13, the flicks are scheduled every Thursday through mid-August. Open seating begins at 7 p.m.

Though it doesn't cost anything to watch, Snohomish County Parks and Recreation does accept donations.

Start times vary:

•Thursday, 9:40 p.m.: "The Adventures of Tintin" (2011) rated PG

July 19, 9:35 p.m.: "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" (2011) rated PG-13

July 26, 9:25 p.m.: "Megamind" (2010) rated PG

Aug. 2, 9:15 p.m.: "Hugo" (2011) rated PG

Aug. 9, 9 p.m.: "WALL-E" (2008) rated G

Aug. 16, 8:45 p.m.: "Thor" (2011) rated PG-13

Gold Creek Community Church is providing pre-movie entertainment, including bounce houses, laser tag and animal balloons. The Sno-Isle libraries bookmobile will be on hand with books related to the movies shown on screen.

Willis Tucker Park is at 6705 Puget Park Drive near the Silver Firs area south of Snohomish. The Sundquist Homes Family of Companies is sponsoring the event.
