ARLINGTON -- A Stanwood man was wounded Saturday night in a shooting at Blue Stilly Park northeast of Island Crossing, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting around 8:30 p.m. and arrived to find a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head, sheriff's Lt. Steve Dittoe said. The victim was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. The Snohomish County Sheriff's office told KIRO-TV the victim was then transferred to Harborview Medical Center.

Witnesses reported that several vehicles left the area before deputies arrived, Dittoe said. A suspect remained at large. Detectives were processing two crime scenes.
