Baseball/Softball

n The seventh annual Armstrong Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 17 at Snohomish Golf Course. The entry fee is $90 if paid before Aug. 1 and $100 afterward. The event is a fund-raiser for the Dick Armstrong Memorial Scholarship Foundation. The featured guest will be former Washington State University football coach Jim Walden. Swimming/Diving

n The Everett-based StingRay Swim Club is running an Olympic Spirit Promotion and will be offering free swimming for new members in July. No training dues and no club administration fee, though swimmers must pay $34.50 to USA Swimming for insurance. Kids interested in the promotion can contact coach Paul Bolme at paulbolme@comcast.net to arrange an evaluation for group placement.
