Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch charged with DUI
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alchohol has been charged with driving under the influence, a spokesman for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
Lynch, who was pulled over after being observed swerving on Interstate-880 in Oakland by a California Highway Patrol Officer, is being charged under California Vehicle Codes 23142. A and B, which state:
"23152. (a) It is unlawful for any person who is under the influence of any alcoholic beverage or drug, or under the combined influence of any alcoholic beverage and drug, to drive a vehicle.
"(b) It is unlawful for any person who has 0.08 percent or more, by weight, of alcohol in his or her blood to drive a vehicle."
Lynch is currently scheduled to be arraigned on Aug. 14.
