Snohomish Garden Tour: noon to 5 p.m. July 29. Urban and suburban gardens in and around Snohomish. Tickets are $12 and available in advance or on the day of the tour at Annie’s on First; Curly Willow; Joyworks; Kusler’s Pharmacy; McAuliffe’s Valley Nursery, McDaniel’s Do It Center, Machias Nursery; Molback’s; My Garden Nursery; and Sunnyside Nursery.Tickets also available on the website, www.snohomishgardenclub.com.

Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the tour at the Snohomish Library, Fourth Street and Maple, starting at 10:30 a.m. Children under 13 may take the tour free with a wristband obtained at the library. Fruit tree pruning and grafting: The WSU Snohomish County extension presents two workshops with fruit tree expert Gary Moulton Aug. 18 at Ed’s Apples, 13420 339th Ave. SE, Sultan. The pruning class is 10 a.m. to noon. Bring gloves and pruners for hands-on practice. Bud grafting is 1 to 3 p.m.

Class size is limited so registration and prepayment are required. The pruning workshop is $25 and the bud grafting is $40, which includes a Victorinox grafting knife. Take both classes for $60.
