Front Porch: Highway 522 closures Tuesday night

Highway 522 is scheduled to be closed in both directions Tuesday and Wednesday nights near Monroe.
The Washington State Department of Transportation is scheduling the closures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. both days, depending on the weather.
Drivers who use the highway should expect delays and use 164th Street SE, Fryelands Boulevard and U.S. 2 instead.
Crews will work on the final striping at the interchange with U.S. 2.

The "Dinner in the Field" is an annual fundraiser for the nonprofit that helps people with disabilities. The meal is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in an open field at Swans Trail Farms, 7301 Rivershore Road in Snohomish.
Tickets cost $100 per person.

Odor monitoring: A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday night to share information with the public about an odor-monitoring program planned for Everett and Marysville.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. at Allen Creek Elementary School, 6505 60th Drive NE, Marysville.
The study, prompted by odor complaints directed at Cedar Grove Composting on Smith Island, will be conducted by Odotech of Montreal, Canada, hired by the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency. The work is intended to trace the source of odors in the area.
