Take off for Paine Field Saturdayfor another Free Fly Day presented by the Flying Heritage Collection.
Fighter Evolution Day begins at noon with flights by restored WWII-era aircraft, a Supermarine Spitfire and a North American P-51D Mustang. The flights are subject to change depending on the weather, pilot availability and the mechanical condition of the aircraft.
It’s free to watch the flights, but admission to the collection is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and military, $8 for youths 15 and younger, and children 5 and younger are admitted free.
Four more Free Fly Days are planned for this year: Luftwaffe Day, Aug. 11; Battle of Britain, Aug. 25; IL-2 Debut, Sept. 15; and Ground Attack Day, Sept. 29.
