Olympics

While watching the Americans collect medal after medal and watching our National Anthem being played, (with a tear in my eye), it occurs to me that it was written at a stressful time when we were at war with what is now the host country of these Olympics. The irony of this can't be lost to a lot of Brits.

I am reminded of a scene in "The Great Escape" where James Donald, who plays the ranking officer, asks Steve McQueen on the Fourth of July, "How are you chaps getting along over there without us?" McQueen replies, "Just fine!." From the looks of these games, we're better than fine!
