EVERETT -- An Everett man found dead near his home in July likely drowned, officials have determined.

Todd Patrick Caudle, 49, had a long history of suffering from paranoid schizophrenia before he went missing from his home along Glenwood Avenue on June 27.

His disappearance was investigated by Everett police, and his death by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office.

Caudle was found July 12 in a wooded ravine.

Family members described him as a generous, giving man who stayed home a lot because of his illness. He also served as an unofficial caregiver for his mother.

Caudle ran a landscaping business before he became too ill to work.
