The Washington Stealth announced Cory Howerton as the team’s new Vice President of Sales on Friday.
Howerton has over 15 years of experience as a sports executive and is from the state of Washington.
“We liked Cory enough to create a high-level position in the organization for him,” Stealth president David Takata said. “Cory’s recent experience in growing the fan base for niche pro sports teams makes him a valuable commodity, and we were fortunate to be able to recruit him back to the Puget Sound.”
Howerton has served as president of the Arena Football League’s Georgia Force prior to agreeing to join the Stealth. Howerton also has experience as Director of Group Ticket Sales for the Seattle Sonics and the Seattle Storm.
Howerton’s job duties will include directing the teams overall sales and brand activation strategies and growth across all the teams revenue platforms. He will also have input in all business decisions, such as game operations, marketing and community and public relations.
