EVERETT -- A man was seriously injured Thursday after he apparently rear-ended a pickup truck on his motorcycle in Everett.

The crash happened just before 5:30 p.m., on the ramp from eastbound Highway 526 to northbound I-5, Everett police Lt. Robert Goetz said.

The motorcyclist appeared to have broken bones and a possible head injury.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No other serious injuries were reported.

Everett police traffic-safety detectives were on scene investigating, Goetz said. No other details were immediately available.
