Vintage Aircraft Day: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 1, Historic Flight Foundation, 10719 Bernie Webber Drive, Mukilteo. Guided Future of Flight Aviation Center Gallery Tours: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday and Thursdays to Sept. 20 at The Future of Flight, 8415 Paine Field Blvd., Mukilteo. These are 90-minute detailed, guided tours of the center’s aviation gallery and its exhibits. Admission for the guided tour is included in the regular ticket price of $20 and $14. “Bug Out at the Burke!”: Bug out as thousands of bug specimens are available for viewing at the Burke Museum; get eye-to-eye with giant walking sticks, try some buggy snacks; have a face bug painted; do bug-related crafts and learn about bug-eating plants; special this year are The Bug Chicks, two scientists presenting the diversity of arthropods and inviting visitors to touch, hold and pet the creatures in their Bug Zoo; “Bug Out” is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 16, Burke Museum, on the University of Washington campus, at the corner of NE 45th St. and 17th Ave. NE. Tutankhamun: The Golden King and The Great Pharaohs: The exhibition features more than 100 objects from King Tut’s tomb and ancient sites representing some of the most important rulers throughout 2,000 years of ancient Egyptian history. Many of these objects have never toured in the United States before this exhibit. “Bye Bye Birdie”: This 1960s musical presented by the Village Theatre’s Kidstage SummerStock production focuses on an Elvis Presley-inspired rock star who is drafted into the army and creates a near-riot in a small Midwestern town when he stops there for one last publicity junket.
