SULTAN — People are invited to meet the candidates for city administrator.
The four finalists for the job are scheduled to attend an open house at 4 p.m. Sunday at Galaxy Chocolates, 501 Main St.
The candidates for the position, which pays between $96,312 and $109,248 annually, are Justin Clifton, Kim Moore-Sykes, Kenneth Walker and Jeffrey Wilson.
Three of them have previous experience working as municipal administrators, meanwhile the fourth has worked with cities in the county.
Clifton was town manager for Bayfield, Colo., a position he held for almost five years before he resigned last year, according to the Durango Herald. About 2,300 people live in Bayfield.
Moore-Sykes is the interim city administrator for Pine City, Minn., where about 3,500 people live. She was appointed to the position in the spring.
Walker is the city administrator for Vidalia, La., which has about 4,300 people.
Wilson is the economic development director for Chelan County. He was the planning supervisor for Edmonds for nine years, and also the city planner for Lake Stevens.
The four candidates will be interviewed on Monday by two panels. One panel will be made up of staff and city leaders, while the second will be formed by council members, Sultan Mayor Carolyn Eslick said.
A decision should be made within the week, Eslick said.
The successful candidate will replace Deborah Knight, who became Stanwood city administrator on June 1.
