Holy Hawg Roast: The 19th annual Holy Hawg Roast, sponsored by Consider This Ministries, is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at 6025 Grandview Road, Arlington. Rock the Block Party: View Ridge Community Church, 4800 Dogwood Drive, Everett, will host a Rock the Block Party 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 25. Futurist to speak: Barbara Marx Hubbard, an author and futurist, will speak at 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at Unity Church in Lynnwood, 16727 Alderwood Mall Parkway. MEETINGS, SERVICES

“The Lord’s Prayer — Revisited:” is the topic of a lesson to be presented by the Rev. Bruce Milne at the 10 a.m. service Sunday at Everett Unity Center for Positive Living. An ordained Unity minister, Milne focuses on the relationship between psychology, spiritual principles and the healing power of laughter and play. His talk will offer insights into Aramaic, the original language of the Lord’s Prayer, and a mystical interpretation. The church is at 3231 Colby Ave., Everett. 425-258-2244.

Men’s group: Ray Holman will lead a men’s group at Everett’s Unity Center for Positive Living starting 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday in the basement of the church at 3231 Colby Ave. Holman has been involved in the ManKind Project, with the aim of “healing the earth one man at a time.” The group will meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.

Shabbat morning services: Chabad Jewish Center has started Saturday morning Shabbat services. They are held at 10 a.m. Saturdays followed by a 12:15 p.m. Kiddush luncheon. All Jewish people welcome. Center is at 19626 76th Ave. W, Suite B, Lynnwood.

Christ-based recovery group: Harbor Light Church, 132 112th St. SW in Everett, hosts a recovery group at 7 p.m. every Wednesday. Meetings open to all who need healing from hurts and habits. 425-353-2837 or 206-427-5123.

FREE MEALS, CLOTHING

Free clothing: Everett’s Delta Community Baptist Church will hand out free clothing 9 a.m.-2 p.m. today. The church is at 2901 16th St., Everett.

Clothing and school supplies: Sanctuary Ministries will hold its fifth annual Back to School Clothing and School Supply Giveaway 10 a.m.-noon Aug. 25. Gently used clothes will be available for children in elementary school through high school, including coats, sweatshirts and shoes. There will be school supply kits, hot dogs, chips, juice, and free face painting, while supplies last. The church also provides gently used clothes throughout the year in its Care Center 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. every Thursday. Meals in Everett: Gold Creek Community Church hosts a free hot meal and provides sack lunches 5-6 p.m. the first, third and fifth Sunday of every month in the parking lot of Central Lutheran Church, 2702 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Clothes available some days.

Salt of the Earth Soup Kitchen: noon Tuesdays at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2531 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Free sack lunches or hot meals served to the homeless, low-income seniors and families, and kids on the street. Volunteers needed to help cook, set up, serve and clean up.
