Bumbershoot 2012 is in the books and these are a few things I took away from the festival this year:

People really love Skrillex. I mean they LOVE the guy. It was crazy how many thousands of people lined up hours early and missed several other shows just to gain access to main floor of Key Arena.

Deep Sea Diver is amazing and one of my new favorite bands and everybody should buy their record “History Speaks” and go see them live as soon as possible.

The Promise Ring is not the same band as Purity Ring and people who make that mistake will be disappointed.

Reignwolf is the people's champ and will turn heads at any festival he plays.

And last, The Helio Sequence still puts on one of the best sounding, most solid performances you can see and their new record sounds like it's going to be great.

Here is a video of the Helio Sequence performing 'Lately' at Bumbershoot on Saturday and also a photo set from the weekend.
