This weekend, the Chateau Ste. Michelle will host four acts in three nights thanks to two double bills.
First up: Blondie and Devo, two of the biggest names to come out of the new wave scene in the late 1970s. The groups will share the stage at 7 p.m. Friday night.
While both acts have enjoyed lengthy careers, Blondie has had greater commercial success, thanks to a string of hits that included “Heart of Glass,” “One Way or Another” and “Call Me,” each sung by the group’s stylish frontwoman, Debbie Harry.
Devo also can turn heads, but more in a what-the-heck-was-that way. The group, led by Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale, is best known for the track “Whip It,” but also can’t be discarded as a one-hit wonder. Its off-kilter take on pop helped inspire people such as Kurt Cobain, after all.
Tickets are $49.50 to $112.65 at ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

Then, at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Bonnie Raitt will be joined by Mavis Staples at the same venue.
Raitt’s estimable solo career continued this year with the release of “Slipstream,” her latest studio album, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. Expect to hear music from that album, along with hits like “Something to Talk About.”
Staples, meanwhile, also boasts a long career. The 73-year-old gospel singer recently teamed with Jeff Tweedy — the frontman for Wilco — to produce another critically lauded album, 2010’s “You Are Not Alone.”
Tickets are sold out, but call the winery at 425-488-1133 to see if last-minute seats open up.

Another outdoor show will happen at Marymoor Park, when My Morning Jacket takes the stage Friday night.
The experimental alt-country act is known for going to odd places to record its albums. For 2001’s “At Dawn,” frontman Jim James sung in a grain silo. For 2011’s “Circuital,” the group played in a local church gymnasium.
Tickets are $52.65 at ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.
A string of shows also are happening in Seattle.
The Hives — the theatrical punk rockers from Sweden best known for the infectious hit “Hate To Say I Told You So” — play the Showbox SoDo Friday night.
Tickets are $25 at showboxonline.com or 888-929-7849.

Then, on Saturday, Latin hip-hop star Don Omar visits the same venue, as he tours behind his new album, “Don Omar Presents MOT2: New Generation.”
Tickets are $46.50 at showboxonline.com or 888-929-7849.
And finally, on Tuesday, the action shifts over to the Showbox at the Market, when the industrial rock group Static-X make it town.
Tickets are $22.50 at showboxonline.com or 888-929-7849.
