“End of Summer Concert and Ice Cream Social”: 3 p.m. Sept. 9, Everett’s First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave. Summer Aire, a group of musicians including singers from the Everett Chorale, First Baptist Church, First Congregational Church, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church and others will present the sixth annual “End of Summer Concert and Ice Cream Social.” This year’s concert theme is “Not but PDQ Bach” with selections including “The Seasonings,” “My Bonnie Lass She Smelleth,” “It Was a Lover and His Lass,” “Tobacco is a Wasting Weed” and “Neighbors’ Chorus.” Free, although donations accepted. “A Musical Dessert”: 7 p.m. Sept. 12 in the piano lounge of Washington Oakes, 1717 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Pop pianist Richard Dean will play with members of the Everett Philharmonic Orchestra string quartet: Patrice Weed Shearer, Katrina Cordi, Cheryl Harris and Cami Davis. EPO conductor Paul Elliott Cobbs will present a preview of the orchestra’s new season, which begins Oct. 6. Individual and season tickets will be available for sale. Free.
