Chefs in the Campbell Soup Co. test kitchen are hard at work developing products that appeal to millennials — people born between 1983 and 2000, many of whom would rather eat something inspired by vibrant Thai or Indian cuisine than canned condensed cream of mushroom soup.
But don’t think for a second that Campbell’s is stuck in 1950s cookery. We hear the Campbell’s test kitchen is decked out with a $600 professional-grade electric can opener made in Germany.
Another one bites the dust: Yet another al-Qaida No. 2 man has been incinerated by a U.S. missile fired from a drone aircraft, this time in Yemen. This prompts The Buzz to wonder:
Why do these maniacs keep taking the job of being al-Qaida’s No. 2? Why don’t they try something a little safer, like deckhand on a Bering Sea crab boat?
And when it needs to find another replacement No. 2 guy, does al-Qaida just cut and paste the last help-wanted ad it posted?
Car talk: General Motors denounced as false a Reuters report that it’s losing nearly $50,000 on every Chevy Volt it makes.
If the citics had hated the Citation this much, perhaps GM would have made better cars back in the 1980s.
