Reader seeks 4-H recipes from 1913
That said, Dorothy P. Gross, of Edmonds, says, "As a longtime subscriber to The Herald and reader of your column, I know that you and your readers' expertise extends well beyond recipes. Therefore, I am hoping that you can help me with a request that has come from a 4-H leader in Manitoba, Canada.
"The writer is seeking 'historic 4-H recipes from around 1913.'
"The members of her group are planning a recipe calendar for the year 2013, and they would like to have some 4-H recipes from the last century to include along with their new recipes.''
Winding up, Dorothy says, "Without any 4-H connections myself, I'm appealing to you for any tips or direction that you might be able to give on this question. Thank you in advance for any help that you might be able to give.''

Patrick Vanderpool tells us, "We used to go to Seven Lakes Pizza House at Smokey Point and order the yuppy pizza. It had a white sauce and was one of the best we've ever had. This pizza house can't be found anywhere else.
"Also, O'Brien's Turkey House at Island Crossing in Arlington had the best barbecue sauce they served with their barbecued turkey.
"Is there any chance someone could find the recipes for the pizza and the barbecue sauce?''
