Family night at club
The Everett Boys &Girls Club plans a family night from 5-7 p.m. Monday. The event, at 2316 12th St., includes a spaghetti dinner, a parents-only pool tournament, a kids-only carpet pool tournament and team volleyball.
Club members, their families and the community are invited.
Concert benefits grange: The South End String Band plays a benefit concert for the South Camano Grange from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The grange is at 2227 S. Camano Drive, Camano Island. Suggested donation is $5. Beer, wine and desserts are available for purchase.
Old-time fiddle music “with wet powder wit and moonshine wisdom” aims to please the crowd. Proceeds will help save the grange.
The concert dovetails with the sixth annual Harvest Jubilee Festival &Farm Tour held this weekend in Stanwood, Camano and Silvana.
Where the birds fly: Pam Pritzl of Skagit Audubon and Roxie Rochat plan to lead a free tour of Camano and Stanwood birding hot spots from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday. Destinations include Eide Road, English Boom Historical Park and Iverson Beach Preserve.
Meet at Terry’s Corner Park and Ride, 860 N. Sunrise, behind Camano Island Coffee Roasters to stage carpools and get directions. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars. No dogs allowed.
