ARLINGTON — A motorcyclist was injured when he ran into a pickup truck on Highway 530 near Arlington on Sunday afternoon, according to the State Patrol.
The 58-year-old Brewster man was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle shortly before 5 p.m. eastbound on the highway at 59th Avenue NE, between I-5 and Arlington, when the accident occurred, state Trooper Keith Leary said.
The motorcyclist failed to stop for a 2009 Ford F-150 pick-up truck making a left turn onto 59th, Leary said. The motorcyclist was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with a head injury and is listed in stable condition, Leary said.
The truck was driven by an 89-year-old Arlington man, who was not injured.
One lane was closed and traffic was alternated in the other lane for nearly two hours.
