5 stations agree to air Oct. 11 gubernatorial debate

SEATTLE -- Five Seattle-area television stations will all air live a debate between gubernatorial candidates Democrat Jay Inslee and Republican Rob McKenna.
According to KING, the October 11 debate will air at 9 p.m. on KING, KOMO, KIRO, KCPQ and Northwest Cable News.
The debate will be held at KOMO's studios in Seattle and will be moderated by Glenn Johnson, a Washington State University professor. It will also feature questions from anchors and reporters Jean Enersen from KING 5, Dan Lewis from KOMO TV, Angela Russell from KIRO, and C.R. Douglas from KCPQ.
KING and NWCN Executive News Director Mark Ginther said the usual competitors have set aside rivalries to reach a wide audience.
A second debate will be held on October 16 to air on KING 5.
