Enjoy a night of spirits, stories in Snohomish

Sign up for Weekend to-do list
The creaky historic buildings in downtown Snohomish are the just the right setting for combining the spirits, both wine and ghostly ones, on a Distillery Walk and After Party Saturday evening.

Dress up in Prohibition duds (you know, like flappers and gangsters), or not, and head to Snohomish for the tastings from 4 to 7 p.m.

Check in at The Second Street Cabin, 1010 Second St., to buy your tasting tickets and pick up a map. It's $8 per person for five tastings. Extra tickets are $1 each.

The spirits will move you to walk over to First Street and sample the wares from several distillers at participating shops. Local storytellers will fill you in on the city's ghostly lore as you travel and taste.

Then hustle over to the Waltz Building, 116 Ave. B, for the After Party. For $15 a person you can enjoy live music from Plan B, and beer, wine or cocktails.

Proceeds benefit the Kla Ha Ya Days Festival and the Snohomish Boys and Girls Club. See www.historicdowntownsnohomish.org for more information.
