Monroe to discuss budget tonight

MONROE -- There are no tax increases or cuts in city services in the newly-released $52.9 million budget proposed for 2013.

A public hearing is scheduled at tonight's City Council meeting to discuss city revenues.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at council chambers, 806 W. Main St. No vote is expected.

The council is scheduled to discuss the budget in early November.
