SPOKANE -- International mountaineer John Roskelley is trying to return to his former job as a Spokane County commissioner.
The Democrat was a commissioner from 1995 to 2004.
This time he is challenging two-term incumbent Republican Todd Mielke in the Nov. 6 election.
