EVERETT -- A woman who was fleeing police after a suspected drug deal crashed her car along 128th Street SW on Thursday night.

The trouble started about 9:30 p.m. in the 14800 block of Highway 99 in the Lynnwood area, Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

A deputy on patrol allegedly saw the woman make a drug sale, Ireton said. As the deputy approached the woman, she drove off.

There was a short pursuit that eventually led to northbound I-5. The woman then drove off the freeway at the 128th Street exit and crashed into another vehicle, Ireton said.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage. No serious injuries were reported.

The woman, 23, of Seattle, had several warrants for her arrest. She was booked into Snohomish County Jail.
