Find locally handcrafted items for sale and pick up fall recipes and recipes for kids such as for homemade play dough.
A giant zucchini contest also is scheduled.
Edmonds: Domestic violence vigil
The Edmonds Police Department plans a candlelight vigil Tuesday night to honor victims and survivors of domestic violence.
The vigil is set from 6 to 7 p.m. at the police station, 250 5th Ave North.
Domestic-violence advocates plan to speak about domestic-violence issues in Edmonds and share information about available community resources.

Everett: Police serve food for fundraiser
Everett police officers will act as servers at the Everett Red Robin on Saturday as part of the "Tip-A-Cop" fundraiser for Special Olympics Washington.
The fundraiser is planned from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. at the restaurant at 1305 SE Everett Mall Way.
Any tips or donations the officers collect benefit Special Olympics programming in the Snohomish County area.
Stanwood: Dance at Lake Goodwin
A family dance to live classic rock music is set for 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Goodwin Community Club, 17323 42nd Ave. NW. Costumes are encouraged. $10, or $25 for a family, and food is included.

Terrace: $5.1 million in bonds for sale
The city will be entering the bond market Oct. 16 with a $5.1 million water and sewer revenue bond, the proceeds of which will be used to fund capital improvements over the next two years.
The city achieved a high "AA" bond rating from Standard and Poor's, which indicates the city is a quality borrower with very strong capacity to meet its financial commitments. The tax-exempt bonds will be sold by Piper Jaffray & Co. Maturities range from one to 20 years.
Bonds will be sold very early Tuesday morning (before 9 am). Anyone interested in buying the bonds should call on Monday. However, rates won't be set until early Tuesday.

Mill Creek: Youth basketball signups
The Mill Creek Parks & Recreation Youth Basketball League is looking for players for the 2012-2013 season.
Practices begin in late November. There are one to two practices a week, depending on the age of the players.
Girls and boys are encouraged to sign up by Oct. 26.
League games are played on Saturdays and start in January.
The league is designed to provide a positive atmosphere for youth and build self-esteem at an affordable price.
