A new statewide poll show Washington voters back gay marriage by a decent margin but are less than certain about establishing charter schools and creating a legal marijuana industry.
President Barack Obama enjoyed a 10-point lead on Republican Mitt Romney and Democrat Jay Inslee is a tad bit ahead of Republican Rob McKenna in the governor’s race, according to results of The survey, conducted by the University of Washington in concert with KCTS.
The poll of 782 registered voters was conducted from Oct. 1-16 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent.
