MARYSVILLE — Tuesday night’s girls soccer game between Lakewood and Cedarcrest was an overtime thriller.
The two teams will meet again on Thursday to replay the whole thing with even bigger stakes on the line.
Kennady Bonnallie scored in overtime on an assist from Chase Gornley to lead Lakewood to a win over Cedarcrest and force a one-game playoff between the two teams on Thursday. Tuesday’s win by Lakewood means the two teams are tied at 7-7 in Cascade Conference play. Since the the two teams split their regular-season games, a one-game playoff was instituted to decide which team will be the Cascade Conference No. 3 seed in the District 1/2 girls soccer tournament. Cedarcrest and Lakewood play at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Lakewood H.S.
