City Arts Fest ended on Saturday night and it was every bit as awesome as the lineup suggested. This is one of the more fun festivals I have been to, and not just because of all the great artists.
There is something about jumping from one venue to another and another all in the same night. Granted it’s not as convenient as a music festival that takes place in one location all day or all weekend, but it is nice to not feel like you are part of a herd of cattle caged in at the main stage all day.
Some of the highlights from this festival for me were Fox and The Law (interview coming), Learning Team, and the free SSG acoustic showcase the featured Lemolo, Daniel Blue of Motopony, Ravenna Woods, and members of Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band playing acoustic covers of each others songs and getting help from one another on their own songs. It was beautiful.
Here are some great pictures from the festival, courtesy of Seattle photographer David Klayton.
