Prep volleyball: Northwest 2B District Tournament

MOUNT VERNON -- Darrington finished second at the four-team Northwest 2B District Tournament with 3-1 win over Orcas Island and a 3-1 loss against La Conner on Friday. The Loggers continue their postseason next Saturday at the 2B Bi-District Tournament at Stanwood High School.

Darrington 20 10 26 11 -- 1
La Conner 25 25 24 25 -- 3
Highlights--Darrington (both matches): Amy Miles 25 kills, 10 blocks; Tayler Hoftell 17 kills; Alisa Vargas 25/25 serving. Records--Orcas Island, La Conner not reported. Darrington 10-5 overall.
