BOTHELL — Police are investigating the death of an 80-year-old woman in south Snohomish County.
At 5 a.m. Saturday, Bothell Police were called to a home in the 3300 block of 228th Street SE.
They were met at the front door by a 42-year-old woman who lives at the mobile home. The woman had requested medical assistance.
Police Capt. Denise Langford said patrol officers were concerned about statements the woman made, and the officers determined they needed to check the welfare of anyone else inside the residence.
Officers found the woman’s 80-year old mother, who was suffering from severe traumatic injuries, Langford said.
Medics responded to treat the older woman, however, she died while at the scene.
The daughter was taken into custody and detectives are in the process of obtaining a search warrant to investigate the scene, Langford said.
