Everett building scorched by fire

    Firefighters finish extinguishing a fire that damaged a building near the intersection of Pacific Ave. and Chestnut Street Tuesday morning in Everett.

EVERETT -- A building was damaged by fire Tuesday morning near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Chestnut Street.

Firefighters were called around 9:40 a.m. to the 20-foot by 40-foot steel building and entered the structure to put out the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.

No damage estimate was immediately available. There were no injuries.
