The entrance to Veterans Park, adjacent to Lynnwood Library, (which used to be beautifully landscaped) is now just plain dirt. The city’s park supervisor recently advised me that there were no funds budgeted for this important memorial. What a shameful way to treat those who had given their lives for our country. If neighboring Fred Meyer and/or Wight’s Nursery are willing to help provide plants, there is no valid reason for the city of Lynnwood to refuse to dig a few holes and beautify the place. Or in the alternative, a local garden club or a few civic-minded volunteers could step up to the plate. Any volunteers?
