Prep volleyball: 2B Bi-District Volleyball

STANWOOD — The Darrington volleyball team survived two loser-out matches to earn the third and final state berth in the 2B Bi-District Tournament. The Loggers swept Tacoma Baptist in their first elimination match, before falling to Bear Creek in the semifinals. Darrington rebounded to beat Orcas Island 25-17, 25-23, 25-13 in a winner-to-state/loser out contest. In the Loggers’ two wins, Monica Franke was a perfect 61-for-61 serving with six aces overall.
