This week is an extension of last week for the Silvertips. Everett, which is coming off a brutal four-in-five, has three more games in four days beginning Tuesday. The Tips are once again short-handed, and will once again be spending plenty of time on the bus. By the time Friday’s game at Tri-City rolls around Everett will have played seven games in 11 days. Five of those will have been road games, and the only instance where travel wasn’t involved came in the two days the Tips were holed up in Spokane between road games against the Chiefs. (Incidentally, when this stretch ends Everett will have played 22 games, 14 of which were on the road).
And it’s been rough going for the Tips so far. Everett lost each of the first four games during the stretch, earning just a single point in the opening shootout loss to Kamloops. This week the Tips are at Spokane on Tuesday, at home against Red Deer on Wednesday, then back at Tri-City on Friday. So:
